Troubleshooting

MaxiVista is very easy to use and should work fine "out-of-the-box". However, technical limitations and unavoidable interferences may require to troubleshoot your installation.

General

The foremost important tip: Most of the common issues are network connection based.

  • Use the latest version. Your installation may be out-of-date, even if you checked for updates. The latest version can always be found on the download page.
  • Make sure to register a license key that fits to the features you are using (or disable using unpaid features in "MaxiVista settings » User Interface").

First Start Troubleshooting

If the extended screen does not appear on the second computer after you have started the viewer program, try the following tips.

  • Check if viewer program is running on 2nd PC.
  • Check network connection.
  • Check firewall
  • If using a VPN, configure split-tunneling.
  • Check monitor positioning in OS display manager.
