System requirements

MaxiVista runs flawlessly on any combination of current Desktop/Laptop/Tablet PC models:

  • Primary PC: Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP (with or without SP2)
  • Secondary PC: Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/2003/XP (with or without SP2), Linux with Wine (Not officially supported by us)
  • TCP/IP Network connection between the PCs
  • 3 MB hard-disk space
  • Optional: Free Adobe Acrobat Reader to read and print the offline manual
  • Optional: Internet access to download future product updates

Limitations

  • MaxiVista does not allow you to use a laptop as the only display of your desktop PC as it is not present at boot level before loading Windows
  • MaxiVista is software only and does not include any hardware acceleration such as DirectX or OpenGL. Therefore, it would not be suitable to use it for gaming
  • MaxiVista is no remote PC control application

MaxiVista with existing Multi Monitor systems

The Windows XP/2000 Display Manager supports up to 10 displays per PC; the biggest possible setup would consist of 7 hardware displays running at any possible screen resolution on the Primary PC plus 3 Secondary PCs with each up to 3,200x1,200 pixels, which can be shown on a suitable amount of hardware displays attached to each Secondary PC (usually two monitors, each displaying 1,600x1,200 pixels).
